Today is Ash Wednesday. Day 1 of our attempts to bring abstinence, moderation, or some sort of spiritual strengthening into our lives. My kid asked what I was giving up last night. I’ve already given up fast food restaurants and soda for my New Year’s resolutions. I’m just going to continue with these two goals. I don’t think this is cheating…though it does smack of turning in the same assignment for 2 different classes.

One thing I will not give up (beside my love of coffee and cookies) is house hunting. I am an addict of HGTV and I love my current house. I love my current neighborhood. I just can’t help drooling over other people’s choices. (I can imagine my hubbs using this same explanation as he peruses the SI Swimsuit issue.:))

Here’s my new pick for Dream House in Cary, NC.

104 Morninghills Court, Cary, 27518 is located in the Cambridge section of the Regency neighborhood. With pools, walking trails, playgrounds, tennis courts, and more, Regency is a coveted neighborhood here in Cary. The location is perfect. There is a real sense of established permanency here, with sidewalks and mature landscaping. You are also minutes away (though you don’t feel it) from highways shopping, and entertainment.

The house itself seems move-in-ready, (aside from some personal painting). What I love most about this listing is the space both inside the house and out. There is 2940 sft inside, sitting on .38 acres! It is also priced to sell at $350,000. (Yes, this is a short-sale, but trust me, this is an amazing deal for a Regency house.) Even better, you have a flat, large surface for playing basketball by the garage. Yes, this is deal maker for us; being able to play bball just outside your door is a must for us here in North Carolina.

If you are attempting to take stock of your life, perhaps making a move to Cary?, then this is definitely one house to take a look at. I may be passing on Bo Jangle’s fried chicken, but I wouldn’t pass up this opportunity.
