About 3 months ago I made a huge mistake. I made tacos for dinner on a Tuesday. Taco Tuesday was a huge hit with the family. It even has its own theme music ..”it’s Taco Tues-day, it’s Taco Tues-day! Lala, lala, lala, lala-ole!” (Trust me, it’s kind of catchy.)

I have eaten tacos every Tuesday night, for the past 3 months.

Did I mention that I hate tacos?

I hate buying ground beef and cooking it. It’s just disgusting. I hate taco shells. The crunchy shell always seems to break into knives in my mouth. I am just sick of tacos. But I make them/ I eat them. I am a taco-martyr.

I guess I could end it there on my “Pity, party of One” post. However, I got an email last week from a reader who has also relocated to Cary. This reader sent me a link to her new business venture, entitled “King of the Meal”.

King of the Meal is an online directory of dining specials, coupons, and deals available in the area. Yes, Cary is one of the focus areas. She wanted to help moms, families, and couples (who actually date!) use their dining out budgets more wisely.

My kids are going to have to order their tacos from Moe’s Southwest Grill tonight. Kids eat free on Tuesdays (with an adult entree). Thank you King of the Meal. Mama’s gonna get a burrito bowl tonight.

Now, if I could only get Margarita Mondays, Tequila Thursdays, and Brownie Fridays passed in the house. ..<– yes, I did try to sneak the brownie in there :)
