I love me a bargain. Furniture, however, is one item where you get what you pay for (yes, I’m talking about pressed-wood laminate crappy shelving from any box-store that falls apart as I’m still trying to put it together…just sayin’) High-quality furniture generally means, and deserves, a high-dollar price sticker.

Unless of course, you learn to shop at my not-so-secret favorite stores in our area:

The Habitat for Humanity ReStore

Go here for brand new and used kitchen cabinets, book cases, lighting, and other odds and ends for your home.

NC State Surplus Store

Go here for filing cabinets, storage pieces, desks, and office furniture.

Peterson’s Consigning Design

521 E. Chatham Street in Cary

Shop here if you need any piece for any room in your house- bedroom, living room, dining room.

HomeGoods

1571 Beaver Creek Common Rd in Apex (worth the drive)

Shop here for accent pieces, rugs, art & decor.

Your House

your address

Shop your own home for that “certain” look. Switch things around, repurpose items, and shake things up. Check your garage, your attic, or that never used guest room. It’s hard at first, but once you start moving furniture and pieces around, your creative juices will flow and you’ll realize you don’t need to buy anything new at all.

Everything you ever wanted you can find. right. at. home.
